“Card accepted” helps people stop
Most people don’t drive past a roadside stall because they don’t want fresh eggs, honey, flowers or mandarins.
They drive past because they assume they’ll need cash.
And these days, plenty of people don’t have any. They pay by card for fuel, coffee, groceries, school fees and just about everything else. So when they see a stall, even a good one, there’s a little moment of doubt:
“Looks nice… but I probably can’t pay.”
That’s where Pay By QR helps.
With a QR code at the stall, you can honestly put this on your roadside sign:
CARD ACCEPTED
It’s a small line, but it removes a big objection before the driver has gone past. They know they can pull in, choose what they want, scan the QR code, pay by card, and go.
Your sign might be as simple as:
FRESH EGGS
$8 DOZEN
CARD ACCEPTED
Or:
LOCAL HONEY
CARD OR CASH
Cash can still sit there in the honesty box. Pay By QR just gives people another normal way to pay.
And more people stopping means more chances to sell — not just one dozen eggs, but maybe a jar of honey too, or the last bunch of flowers on the table.
Start with one clear sign this week: CARD ACCEPTED. Put it where drivers can see it before they pass. Then test the QR code from your own phone, and you’re ready.
